Tell me, please, if I come to the country for 90 days, but I want to stay in it for a long time, can I extend the period of stay in the country? Maybe it's better to apply for a visa right away?
Responds Julia Kazmina
If you initially plan to stay in the country for a long time, it is better to immediately apply for a visa, the main reason why it takes so long. Or, there is always the possibility for a few days to go beyond the borders of Argentina and then return.
Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
Since June 29, 2009 for Russian citizens visa-free entry for up to 90 days has been introduced for each period of 180 days. Citizens of the Russian Federation planning to stay in Argentina for more than 90 days, including labor or commercial activities, must issue a visa.
The visa must be issued in advance at the consular department of the Embassy of Argentina in Moscow.
When crossing the border, the following documents must be presented: a visa (if the stay exceeds 90 days); a valid passport for the duration of the trip; * tickets in both directions; * confirmation of its solvency - that is, the availability of sufficient funds for the entire period of stay (cash, plastic cards, traveler's checks, etc.).
