A small country Montenegro is a very popular tourist destination, first of all for an excellent beach holiday in summer at quite reasonable prices. But in other seasons there is something to do. This is a trip to the country's natural attractions, and a rich excursion of ancient cities, and even so-called gourmet tours - by local wine farms and cheese and smoked plants.
Getting to Montenegro is more convenient and quicker on the plane .However, the flight will not always be cheap, the price of air tickets rises at the height of the tourist season and before the holidays .Prices for the holiday itself (accommodation at the resort and food) are quite acceptable, but because of the costly flight the cost of the whole tour to Montenegro can be unexpectedly high .In this case, if you want to take advantage of the option of a really democratic holiday in this very picturesque and hospitable country, you should prefer the tours to Montenegro by train .
Despite a fairly long journey, the journey by train is appreciated by many. Slowly moving to the measured knocking of the wheels will add charm and romance to your trip, and an undeniable plus is comfort that is impossible neither in the plane nor in the bus: you can sleep in the recumbent position and walk full length on the car when you are tired of sitting. Tours to Montenegro by train will be enjoyed by those who prefer to admire every corner of the country along the way.
The capital of the country is Podgorica, but unfortunately there are no direct trains here from Russia. Despite the fact that we are talking about railway tours, there is no well-developed message inside the country.
Therefore, the city, which can be reached from Moscow by train, is a resort bar. It is a beautiful seaside port, drowning in the greenery of orchards and dividing into two parts: The Old Bar is a historical district with an abundance of architectural attractions (including antique ones) and the New Bar is a beach resort with well-developed infrastructure.
There is a train from Moscow, or to be more precise, a trailer car in the Moscow-Budapest train. To Budapest, the car follows from Moscow as part of this train, and in the Hungarian capital it detaches and adjoins the Prague-Belgrade train, and even further (in Serbia) - to the Subotica-Bar train.
If you do not need a Bar and you have chosen other cities for your trip, you can travel from Moscow to Belgrade by train, and from Belgrade - to the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica. Further in the country you will have to move by some other transport.
All prices are in November 2014
