25 km to the south-east of Arkhangelsk there is a museum of wooden architecture and folk art of the northern regions of Russia "Malye Korely". Formation of the exhibition began in 1968, and in 1973, in the vicinity of the village of the same name on the right bank of the Northern Dvina, this unique open-air museum was opened.

The exhibits are divided into four sectors, each of which recreates the appearance of the old northern settlements: Kargopol-Onega, Pinega, Mezensky and Dvina. Churches, chapels, bell towers, peasant and merchant houses, barns, wells, fences, seven windmills - a very curious and very colorful exposition is presented in the museum "Small Korely". The exhibition "Northern Bells" introduces visitors to the ancient art of playing the bells.
In the museum there are guided tours, folklore collectives work, in the souvenir shop they are traded with products of folk artists. And on weekends there are round dances, listen to the bell ringing, demonstrate traditional crafts, play folk games, drink tea in a Russian hut and ride horses.
