The basis for obtaining a residence permit in Hungary is training in the country's university, work in a Hungarian company and business immigration.

The purchase of real estate does not entitle you to a residence permit. In addition, the basis for obtaining permanent resident status is enrollment in Hungarian language courses and the re-establishment of the family (if Hungarian relatives live in the country).

To work in a Hungarian company or study at a local university, you must obtain a long-term visa type D (stay more than 90 days, but not more than 12 months). A company employing a foreign employee must obtain the appropriate authorization from the Hungarian Employment Center. For business immigration, it is necessary to register a company in Hungary, or to take a share in a local company.

A type D visa allows you to obtain a temporary residence permit for two years, obtain a residence permit in the future, and then obtain a permit for permanent residence and Hungarian citizenship.

A residence permit is issued on the condition that the immigrant has sufficient living space (18 square meters per person), and there are funds for living in the account during the year (the minimum wage is based on the calculation) or a confirmed source of income. As a result, a visa and a special insertion in the passport are issued, allowing you to live in the country for a year.
