Entertainment, Excursions and Landmarks in Port Louis
The Arms Square is famous for its building, built of embossed stone and wood. This is the Government House, surrounded by colonial houses. The city center is associated, above all, with it. True, tourists can only stare outside. But the gardens around completely satisfy the aesthetic curiosity with two exquisite sculptures created from marble. It is a statue of William Stevenson, who was the governor of the country from 1857 to 1863, and Queen Victoria.
On the street Intendence just outside the Government House stands the Parliament building. A piquant attraction is the Hindu-Tamil temple, called Maeswarat. Interesting and the ancient fort citadel called Adelaide, surrounded by a perimeter Mars Field.
On the street Church Street, in the majestic Cathedral of St. Louis buried the remains of the wife of the Governor of La Bourdonna, and on the street Royal Road, near the Chinatown, stands the city celebrity - the Jummah mosque, built of lime, wood and stone, delivered specially from Bombay. ±$ The

- Buy a dried octopus in the local market, which smells and looks a bit scary, but the taste, believe me, is divine.
