The island of Bohol, surrounded by 70 small islands, is associated with the smallest monkeys on Earth and the Chocolate Hills - a unique phenomenon of nature. On the island and the satellite islands there are several resorts with excellent beaches, each of which offers a variety of water sports. Infrastructure is more developed than, for example, on the island of Cebu, so Bohol is more suitable for divers, family or quiet romantic rest.
The capital of Tagbilaran is opposite the resort island of Panglao and is connected to it by a bridge and road.

Weather on Bohol
The weather here is rather capricious: at any time of the year, daily short rains can begin, and may be dry for several months in a row. Typhoons are also not uncommon. However, in March-May, you can expect the least trouble.
Beaches of Beaulah
Next to Bozol is the small island of Panglao, in which Alona Beach is located - 800-meter beach with a mass of hotels, restaurants and world-class dive centers, popular with outdoor enthusiasts.
The island of Cabilao (Cabilao), lying west of the island of Bohol, is surrounded by excellent corals. Diving here is especially good because of the incredibly transparent water.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions in Bohol
"Chocolate Hills" (1268 hills of the same conical shape, on which only grass grows burnt by the end of summer to chocolate brown), Hinagdanan cave with an underground lake, hand-planted redwood forest, a church in Baklion (oldest in the Philippines), the museum of the island, the Busay waterfalls, the Raha-Sitakuna forest reserve and the leprechaun-tarsier center, which are around two hundred in the world.
Cruise on the Lombok River with lunch and personal chanson. Near the island of Balikasak - excellent coral reefs and remains of ships flooded during the Second World War. Observation in the ocean for dolphins and whales, all kinds of water sports.
In addition, the island has about 1400 caves and picturesque waterfalls.
Diving on Bohol
Coral gardens, caves, walls, wrecks and a depth of over a hundred meters. The most visited places are Panglao Island, connected to Bohol Bridge, Cape Arco, where a large snake colony lives in the underwater tunnel, the wall of Tangan with a lot of caves, in which giant groupers, Kabilao and Pamilakan islands hide. Due to strong currents and a very complex underwater structure, it is better to dive here only with the help of a dive guide.
Kabilao is a small islet of triangular shape, lying to the north of Bohol. On its shores you can see the walls, arches, rifts, coral gardens of soft and hard corals and rare sharks-hammers (from December to June). Along the south-west coast of the island is a fairly strong current, so drift-diving is possible.
Balikasag Island is only 6 km southwest of Panglao (about 45 minutes of sailing by boat) .This is one of the best dive sites in the central Philippines: there is a beach of fine coral sand and a flat reef 9-50 m wide, which borders the whole island .The edges of the underwater reef are covered with hard corals; deeper sponges, parrot fish, table corals, rare sea lilies, octopus, gorgonians, spinorogi, barracuda and mackerel schools .However, even experienced divers should not fall into a rage from the abundance of beauty: the depth there reaches 250 m, so you should be very careful .
Server-Shoal ("Snake Island") is famous for its large colony of striped sea snakes. Also there are white-shark sharks, barracudas and fish-surgeons. On this site, too, a great depth and, in addition, strong currents that vary depending on the depth.
Pamilakan (translated not as a cemetery, or as a resting place for manti) was formerly in high esteem among divers. Today here, according to eyewitnesses, there was practically nothing to watch (probably, all the local stingrays finally rested).
