Is it worth to go to New Year in Portugal?

Answer Ekaterina Belyaeva
I personally liked it! Portugueses in general the people are cheerful, and to entertainments are taken very seriously! :) A warm country, the streets are decorated with special care and splendor, on New Year's Eve fireworks in the square, on the island of Madeira, fireworks are generally recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the most magnificent in Europe, and you can swim and sunbathe on Madeira , but most likely not in the ocean. In winter, the ocean is not so friendly, sometimes it storms and it is better to confine the pool. Once I met a new year in Hurghada (Egypt) - the weather is about the same as in Madeira. On the mainland - a bit cooler. Portugal is the warmest country in Europe.

In addition, the beginning of January coincides with the beginning of the season of discounts in Europe.

I also recommend sightseeing tours. In my opinion, it's better to go to a warm country on a tour in winter, when there is no exhausting heat.

What to go and what to take with you: in the afternoon a shirt or shirt (I recommend taking a windbreaker with a hood if you are brought there where wind or drizzles), in the evening, another sweater. On your feet - comfortable shoes without heels or sneakers. Well, and of course - the camera!
