The Ministry of Tourism Development of Romania claims that their country can not be called cheap for tourists and they are not coming here because of low prices, but because of the constantly improving quality of resorts. Nevertheless, rest in Romania while still relatively inexpensive, about as in Bulgaria. The biggest expense will be a hotel room: from 40 EUR per night in large resorts and from 10-15 EUR in the capital and less popular seaside cities.

Lunch in the cafe will cost an average of 25-30 lei (~ 6-8 euros) per person, and a dinner with drinks in a restaurant for two in the range of 150-200 lei (~ 30-40 euros). Buy food and cook yourself cheaper: bread costs 2 lei, sausage about 25 per kg, a liter of milk or a jar of yogurt - 4 lei, a portion of ice cream is about the same.

Traveling in the Romanian capital by public transport will cost the tourist 1.3 lei for a trip, a travel per day for 8 lei. The subway is slightly more expensive, 4.40 lei for 2 trips, the daily travel card is the same. The taxi is first paid for landing (1.6-3 lei), and then for each km (1.4-3.6 lei).

Museums stand in different ways, from 7 to 20 lei. Prices for souvenirs are also very different, from 10 lei for a beautiful seashell-magnet to 80 for leather products in a folk style.
