 Hotels of Serbia
Editions of Subtleties

The hotel business in Serbia again began to develop relatively recently after a period of total stagnation associated with the war and the international boycott. Development is going on quite actively, but there are still a lot of hotels in a really bad state - old "Yugoslav" hotels have not seen repair for a long time.

Despite the unevenly developed tourism sector, prices for accommodation in Serbia are growing: number is cheaper than € 30 is extremely problematic.

A system of roadside motels along major roads and at the entrance to the cities has become widespread in Serbia. Their advantage, in addition to the price (€ 20- € 25 for a double room) - in the novelty and good level of service, however, they can stay only those tourists who travel by private car. For the rest, getting to the motel will be extremely difficult.

Some inconveniences in the accommodation may be due to the presence of hot water, which can be served only for several hours a day. However, it is more a problem of small settlements: in large cities - Belgrade, Nis and Novi Sad, the situation is getting better.

Kosovo

In recent years, especially after the declaration of independence from Serbia, hundreds of new hotels and motels. As a rule, they are not classified in any way, but the overwhelming majority of the offered rooms are equipped with rather good and reasonable prices.

However, today in Kosovo there are both expensive hotels and very cheap ones (range from € 25 to € 100). Their repair and construction are important not only for the development of tourism, but primarily for attracting specialists from other countries to work together to develop the region.

Volunteers also have special offers - near Pristina, in the suburbs, rural communities and private apartments - usually rented within the Balkan Sunflowers organization.

In addition, you can stay in Skopje (in Macedonia), if suddenly there was nothing worthy in the territory of Pristina. However, in spite of the fact that it is very close to get here, such victims are unlikely to be required: and in the territory of Kosovo the hotel sector is slowly developing.
