Do I need a visa to Abkhazia?

Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
A visa for citizens of Russia and the CIS is not required for a trip to Abkhazia. When crossing the border with Abkhazia, Russian citizens need to present a civil passport or a foreign passport. But citizens of Ukraine, Tajikistan and other CIS countries can enter the territory of the state only upon presentation of a foreign passport.

In traveling with children they will need a birth certificate - this applies to children under 14 years old. However, instead of the birth certificate, children traveling under the age of 14 traveling with both parents can present their passport. Children over the age of 14 must present a civil or foreign passport on a par with adults. If the trip is unaccompanied, accompanied by one of the parents or third parties, children under the age of 18 also present a birth certificate.
