Ordino - Arcalis - one of the most remote resorts of Andorra, whose comparative "isolation from civilization" more than compensates for the superb landscape: over a small valley, there are pointed peaks, from the tops of which the descents pass through gorges between the rocks. "Minus" of the resort: there are no hotels directly near the lifts.

How to get
From the capital to Araklis several times a day there is a shuttle bus SnoBus (with a transfer to Ordino, there is no direct route ), the fare is ~ 1-2, 5 EUR. Opening Hours: 7am to 9pm.
On the road to Ordino you can get on the CG3 route, north of La Massana. The village lies 3 km from the road and 9 km north of Andorra la Vella.

Trails Ordino and Arkalis
Note that Ordino and Arkalis along with Pal and Arinsal resorts form a single skiing area of Vallnord, equipped with 89 km of trails of varying degrees of complexity.

Arkalis has a bar, restaurant and office for renting sports equipment. There are no hotels here, they are near the resort, or in Ordino, which, in turn, boasts a well-developed infrastructure, a couple of attractions, a disco, a cinema.
The sights are attractive old temples. For example, the church of Sant Corneli and Sant Cebrià - the main parish church of Ordino, built during the Middle Ages and restored in the 17-19 centuries. The church is located in the heart of the city, on the main square of Town Square. In the same place you can see the ancient walls with an iron "ring of shame", which in ancient times was tied as punishments to the mischievous locals. The church of Sant Marti de la Cortinada in the village of La Cortinada was built in the 12th century in the Romanesque style and attracts attention with its frescoes - unique to the entire miniature Andorra. Opening hours: in July-August from Wednesday to Sunday from 09:30 to 13:30 and from 15:30 to 18:30, the rest of the year only at the service hours.

The Mas d'en Sole mill and the Cal Pal mill, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, today represent the restored industrial center of Andorra and offer a fascinating walk to the past of the country. There are objects in the village of La Cortinada, just 2 km from Ordino. The cost is 3 EUR (the prices are as of November 2011). You can visit the objects only in the framework of the bus excursion "Discovering La Cortinada" in July-August (departure at 09:50 daily). Also noteworthy is the church of Sant Cerni de Nagol, made in Romanesque style in the late 17th century and located in the village of Llorts.
