Leticia is the main tourist center in the eastern regions of Colombia, a small town located on the left bank of the Amazon, not far from the border with Brazil and Peru. How to get
You can get to Leticia by plane from Bogota, 3-4 flights a week by the airlines AeroRepublica (592 7666), Aires and Satena. In flight 2 hours. From the airport of the neighboring Brazilian Tabatinga (which is 5 km from Leticia) flights Trip and Rico fly to Manaus, the frequency of flights: every day, except Wed. Tickets can be bought in Turamazon (3412 2026; Av da Amizade 2271) or CNM Câmbio e Turismo (3412 3281; Av da Amizade 2017).
From Peru to Leticia, quickboats run (rapido), which follow the route Iquitos - Tabatinga (Brazil) or Iquitos - Santa Rosa (Peru). The fare is 60 USD, on the way 10 hours. These two cities, Tabatinga and Santa Rosa, are located near Leticia. In addition, simple boats run along these routes, much slower and cheaper than "Rapido", 20-25 USD.

Due to its favorable location (in particular, proximity to the Yavari River, Yavarí), Leticia is a great place for eco-tourism. Fans of wildlife, flora and fauna of the region stop here. In addition, this town is an excellent point for exploring the local tribes: Tikunas, Yaguas, Huitotos and Boras, Mayorunas. In the vicinity of the city there are several national parks: Amacayacu, preserves on the Yavari River and the Cayaru River.
