Tell me, please, for how long is a visa issued to India, how many there can be without leaving the country?

Responds
Visas to India are: tourist, business, transit, as well as student and even individual visas for learning yoga, Vedic culture, Indian music theory, dance, etc. Standard single entry visa to India is issued with a validity of 1 to 3 months. Double, triple or multiple entry tourist visa is issued with a validity of 90 to 180 days. Please note that the validity of the visa begins from the moment of issue, and not from the date of the first entry. And the validity of a transit visa (single or multiple entry) is 15 days from the date of issue. However, while in India, you can extend the validity of a visa for up to a year by contacting the local police station. Since December 2012, the requirement of an obligatory break between trips to India on double or multiple visas has been canceled. And persons arriving in India for more than 6 months must register with the local foreigner registration department or police department within two weeks of arrival in the country.
Responds Lyudmila Rustamova, Labyrinth company.
The visa is usually applied for 6 months, once.
