Is it necessary for a Russian to know English by going to India? In what language to communicate with the local?

Responds Maria Dashkevich, India-Tour company
Yes, of course, in India it is more comfortable to travel, knowing at least a minimum of English. Practically in every corner of the country the English language is understood, and in tourist places everyone who is connected with the service of tourists knows English at a fairly decent level.

In Goa, in the places of a large congestion of Russians, hotel workers and traders understand Russian and can a little explaining.
