What is the system for the classification of star hotels in Italy?

Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
The system of classification of hotels in Italy is classic, five-star, although the word "luxury", that is, "luxury", is sometimes added to the 5 stars of especially luxury objects. Also there are villas, apartments, family hotels, hostels.

If everything is clear with the latter, no one expects a special coziness from them (although often receives it, despite the bunk beds in the rooms), then other requirements are demanded to the hotel .Here tourists should take into account that one and two-star hotels to their guests of special comfort will not be offered .Most likely, everything will be clean, but not more than .Safe and TV will not, bathrooms will be on the floor or for blocks of several rooms .Moreover, the presence of a bathroom in the room must be checked even when booking a three-star hotel! Due to the Italian characteristics of the hotel evaluation, some of them can quite legitimately provide fewer amenities to the guests .Of course, this is an exception, not a rule, but it is better to insure yourself when ordering .

But in four and five-star hotels everything will be at a high level. And if the price-quality ratio is broken, then only in the direction of improving quality with fewer stars.
