A beautiful park is located around the castle, and several museums are located inside.
If you are going on an excursion to the castle, be sure to visit the world-famous photo exhibition "Family of Man", which is considered to be the largest personal exhibition of all time. Its creator - an American photographer, a native of Clairvaire Edward Shteyshen started his project during the Cold War. The exhibition consists of 37 topics, starting with the birth of a man and so on, through his whole life. Really impressive!
The Battle of the Ardennes Museum is part of the exposition of the castle of Clervaux (ticket - 2, 5 EUR for adults). There, in the castle, you can see the Model of the Luxembourg Castle models, which contains 22 mock-ups of all the largest castles of the duchy (2, 5 EUR for adults, 50 euro cents for children).
Be sure to visit the current Benedictine abbey of Saints Maurice and Mavra (the beginning of the mass at 9 am on Sundays). Strict monks only allow tourists to enter the monastery church and Kripta, converted into a museum of the monastery. But you will still get an idea of the way of life of the monks.
Not far from the train station, on the hill, is the quaint Loretta Chapel, built in the early 18th century in the Rococo style. One of the most famous monuments of Luxembourg is the 13 meter long Cross of Justice, established in honor of the victims of the French troops attack in the late 18th century, is also in Clairvaux.
