Good afternoon. I want to fly to Malta, namely to Valletta for the New Year. I looked around the hotel Osborn. But then he learned from the reviews that there was no heating, and that it was cold there. Could you advise how to decide on the hotel preferably 4 * in the central part of the city where exactly there is heating and learn about it.

In Malta there is no central heating as a phenomenon, and in winter it is cold in houses. "Rescue" air conditioners, electric and gas heaters, hot water bottles, warm clothes, etc. On the street in winter it is often several times warmer than inside buildings - because of the high humidity, which you can not get anywhere on the small island.

There are no 4 * hotels in Valletta, there are "treshki". A 5-minute walk from Valletta, there are 5 * hotels, where certainly there are air conditioners or heaters. In the same Osborne and other treshkas, it makes sense to find out how there is heating in winter - maybe you need to pay separately.

"The central part" of Valletta - the concept is rather vague: the whole city can be crossed by a calm pace for 20-30 minutes, and in the very center of it there are no hotels, but full of museums, historical monuments, shops, state coordinator and offices.

In Valletta there is no tourism infrastructure as such, it is not a resort zone in its usual sense. But behind its walls is a bus terminal, so it's convenient to travel around the island. Cafes, pharmacies and public toilets also suffice at all:)
