How to get here
The nearest airports are in Antalya (about 2 hours drive from Alanya) and in Gazipasa (about 30 min drive). Compared with the first airport that accepts many international flights, Gazipasa Airport serves only domestic flights. From Antalya airport to Alanya, you can get by bus, a one way ticket costs 5 EUR. The bus station in Alanya is located 3 km from the center and is served by city buses that run every half hour.
In addition, the bus service is arranged with Adana (cost 12 EUR, travel time 10 hours) and Konya (cost 9, 5 EUR, 6 h 30 min.)
Ferries from Kyrenia (Northern Cyprus) arrive to the port of Alanya. The ticket price is 32/64 EUR one way / round trip, respectively. The price does not include port charges. The ticket must be purchased the day before the scheduled trip with the provision of a passport to complete all customs formalities. Caves
One of the few caves that are open to visit is Damlataş Mağarası (Damlataş Mağarası cave, which in Turkish means "stone in drops"), located in the western tip of the peninsula and opened in 1948. The cave, discovered during the construction of the port, leads a narrow passage about 50 meters in length. Inside the cave you can see many multicolored stalactites and stalagmites, whose age is about 15 thousand years.
There is also the "Cave of the Lovers" (Asiklar Mağarası) and the "Phosphoric Cave" (Fosforlu Mağarası), named so because of the interesting lighting effect due to the high content in its arches and the walls of phosphorus. But in "Pisher Pirates" (Korsanlar Mağarası) you can only get on a boat, as it is a sea cave.
Neighborhoods of Alanya
At 15 km from Alanya is located Sharapsa Khan or Sharavsinsky caravan-saray, built on the Great Silk Road in 1236-1248. on the initiative of Keyhusure II with the aim of joining Alanya to the city of Konya.
