Predeal is a small resort at the foot of Bucegi, Bai, Piatra Mare and Postevarul, the highest mountain in the country (1040 m, overtaken Poiana Brasov by as much as 10 meters).

A bit of history
Predeal as a ski resort leads the countdown of its history from 1892, when its tracks were first tested. Already by 1903 the resort became known due to the fact that it was here that the popular competitions of skiers were held, since 1932 the "German Ski Club" started its activity here. In 1949 a lyceum was opened here, the profile of which was skiing, the teachers - famous skiers, and the audience - the slopes of the mountains. Since then Predeal took a worthy place in the list of ski resorts.

All routes are located on the northern slopes, where the snow cover is retained for more than 100 days a year, and snow cannons reliably secure the nature.

Trails Predjela
In total on the slopes of the resort there are 8 routes of different length and complexity. There is an illuminated track for night skiing. In addition, some local slopes can be recommended to novice snowboarders.
Slopes here are not too steep, so there are many children's and educational tracks, as well as trails for beginners. Predeal is attractive not only for amateur athletes. After modernization and renovation, which the resort experienced in the very beginning of the 21st century, it was recognized by the International Ski Federation as suitable for holding international competitions of the highest level, and in 2005 the World Championship in military alpine skiing was held here.

Predeal is located in a very picturesque place: on both sides the slopes of the mountains form amphitheatres, which descend to the settlement, so the village is surrounded on all sides by amazingly picturesque landscapes.
