Slovenian whimsy
Tell me, does one of your friends or friends often want to go to Slovenia? I do not remember a single one. Most likely, and me, thinking of going on vacation, would never have visited the idea of going to this country. And all would be so, if not for the next randomness. Oh yeah! And now I'm packing my bags and starting in Ljubljana with partners of our company.
Charming, lovely and friendly people, warm sea and gentle sun, mesmerizing mountains and enveloping the feeling of comfort from the first minute are waiting for everyone in Slovenia. And grass, grass, grass ... juicy, soft, bright green, well-groomed grass. For some reason, now, sitting in the Moscow smog of peat fires, I recall this Slovene nuance with some special pleasure.
Visiting each new country, I ask myself two questions: "Would I like to live here? "And" Do I want to spend one more of my next holidays in this country? "Slovenia was no exception. The answers were given easily and without hesitation: I really do not want to live here, I'll come here again - maybe, but not soon.
Now I will explain why. I think the majority will agree that it is quite difficult for a Russian person to say with certainty "yes, here it will be comfortable and healthy for me to live." To say this deliberately and carefully, and not under the impression from the first days in the country, superficially acquainted with her life. Concerning the prospects for recreation - the thing is that it is from the rest to wait. I'll stop here in more detail.
Imagine the dimension inherent, in principle, throughout Europe. And now multiply it by a couple dozen - you are in Slovenia! In general, if you need a vacation full of adventures, hangouts and small madness - you are not here. There are no clattering nightclubs, here you will not find noisy cheerful youth companies. In Slovenia it is worth to go to rest from the hustle and bustle, get enough sleep, swim in the calm sea, like in the pool: the resort coast is decorated in the form of concrete platforms with accurate descents into the water, everything is marked and fenced.
Here everything is done with such "total care". I admit, my hot temper was sorely lacking in surf noise and wild landscapes: I was haunted by the feeling that I was in a sanatorium. Having studied the contingent of local holidaymakers, I inform you: basically they are Europeans, mostly for 50 years, preferring a quiet rest.
Do not think bad: such a rested I did not feel like coming back from any other country! If you want 100% certainty that on vacation you will not stumble on the "ruso touristy oblico morale", go to Slovenia. This will not get even fans to shake walls from other countries: it is more expensive, comfortable, quiet rest. Indeed, the most suitable description is a sanatorium! You will stay in an atmosphere of absolute positive, taste good wine and be able to squander decently money in numerous casinos on the coast.
From the tourist places, in addition to the tour of Ljubljana (the city has a really rich history, it is built on the ruins of a Roman fortress), it is worth to visit the caves of Postojna-Yam in the area of Notranjska, to appreciate the fashionable Bled resort with the glistening smoothness of the glacial lake and, if finances permit, to stop for a couple of nights in the castle of Otočec on the bank of the Krka river.
In general, I enjoyed spending time in Slovenia thanks to an invitation, but I'm afraid that by planning my own vacation, I will choose another country. But my parents, I would advise you to spend a couple of weeks there - without grandchildren, of course! The
