The Aragonese Pyrenees occupy the northern regions of Aragon and are considered the natural boundary between Europe and the Iberian peninsula, stretching for 450 km. This is the highest part of the Pyrenees Mountains, where the highest peaks of the region are located: Aneto (3404 m), Monte Perdido (3355 m), Vinhmal (3298 m), Pose (2275 m), Cotierla (2912 m), Perdiguero (3221 m) and Somport (1631 m). In addition to excellent slopes, the region boasts hundreds of thermal springs, picturesque mountain villages and national parks of Ordesa and Monte Perdido.
All the resorts of the region are pleased with good infrastructure, and the town of Khaka even put forward its candidacy for the capital of the Winter Olympic Games of 2010.
