How to get to Aleppo

Aleppo International Airport accepts flights from Turkey, Europe and some cities of the Middle East. The main railway station of Aleppo - Baghdad Station - is located about 1, 5 km from the center of Al-Aziziah. Entertainment, Excursions and Attractions of Aleppo

Interesting are the colorful old districts of Jade and Taiba, caravan-sarai (Jumruk, Wazir, Sabun), churches, mosques, bathhouses "hamam" and old covered markets, which stretch for as long as 12 kilometers. 40 km from Aleppo is the monastery of Kalaat Samaan (St. Simeon). Saint Simeon was a shepherd who decided to devote his life to serving Christ. He approached the matter creatively: he went to the mountains and built a three-meter pillar on top of which he began to live. For 36 years he made his pillar higher, until he reached the 15-meter height. In 459, Saint Simeon died, and in the place where the pillar stood, a church was built. It is perfectly preserved to this day, but the pillar itself is almost destroyed. You can get to the monastery by taxi.
