Hello! I would like to know about visa-free entry to Turkey. I want to go there as a tourist for an indefinite time and without a tour, buy the ticket myself (while only in one direction) and upon arrival there to stay at the hotel. As I understood, now it is no longer necessary to buy a visa sticker on the passport at the airport, which raises the question: what is needed now to enter the country and what obstacles can arise based on the above nuances?
Responds Yaroslav Novikov, Lead Manager, Corporate and VIP Tourism Department, Kraft Services
At the moment, a visa is not required to visit Turkey for tourist purposes for a period not exceeding 30 days. Documents required to visit the country:
- valid passport (passport must be valid for at least 3 months at the time of the end of the trip); entry to the country on a regular passport is not possible, a passport is required;
- a voucher or a return ticket;
- confirmation of the availability of sufficient funds for a trip (at least $ 300).
Detailed information on new visa requirements of Turkey and terms of stay are published on the page "Visa to Turkey". I ask you to pay attention to the penalties for violation of the 30-day visa-free stay and the list of documents necessary to extend the stay.
