Year after year, Turkey shows more and more affability for Russian tourists .The agreement on visa-free travel, introduced several years ago, received its further pleasant development - for today the term of visa-free stay is 60 days .Among other things, once a year you can get permission for a 3-month stay .In a word, enjoying the sea, the beach, attractions and shopping (as well as everything else than Turkey is glorious) nothing will prevent .Requirements for "zagranu" - it must be valid for at least 120 days at the date of entry . Well, the most important thing that many people forget - the number of days of stay in Turkey for Russian citizens to stay with the purpose of "Tourism" should not exceed a total of 90 days for a period of 180 days.

Entering the country
At the border, it is necessary to present:
- acting not less than 120 days at the date of entry, a passport (this is important!);
- hotel reservation confirmation, voucher, return ticket, medical insurance;
- confirmation of the availability of sufficient funds for the trip (at least 300 USD).
In practice, the above documents, with the exception of the passport, are extremely rare, but if they are not present during the inspection, the tourist can be deported from the country.
Violations of the duration of stay
Penalties provided by the Turkish side for violation of the period of visa-free stay are divided into two categories: a fine and defeat in the right to enter the country for a certain time. The severity of sanctions depends on the time of the violation:
- up to 15 days - up to 250 Turkish Lira = 165 US dollars (calculated as a two-time cost of a residence permit for the same period for average tariffs); non-payment (or, as the worst option, an open refusal to pay a fine) entails a defeat in the right to enter up to 5 years
- over 15 days - ban on entry to Turkey for 1 month
- over 1 month - ban on entry to Turkey for 3 months
- over 3 months - ban on entry to Turkey for 6 months
- over 6 months - ban on entry to Turkey for 1 year
- over 1 year - ban on entry to Turkey for 2 years.
- over 2 years - ban on entry to Turkey for 5 years.
At the same time, the penalty for illegally staying in Turkey (in proportion to the time of violation) is in any case payable.
Visa-free regime rules
Visa-free regime is valid for a stay of not more than 90 days during a 180-day period .Thus, Russian citizens can stay there no more than 60 days from the moment they enter Turkey, and within 180 days they can enter and leave the country, provided that the total period of their stay does not exceed 90 days .For example, a citizen of the Russian Federation who entered Turkey on April 17, 2014, using the visa-free regime, can make more than 1 trip to Turkey for up to 60 days from this date, starting from that date, while the total period of his stay will not be more than 90 days .
