Visa application
Documents for a visa must be submitted to the British visa centers. Preliminary it is necessary to fill in the questionnaire (strictly in English) online at www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. The filled out questionnaire should be printed and paste on it one color photo of 3, 5x4, 5 cm (strictly rectangle - without an oval or "corner"), made during the last 6 months. Then choose on the site a convenient time to visit the visa center and collect the remaining documents.
The package of documents should be:
- one color photo on a white background (3, 5x4, 5 cm, strictly rectangle - without oval or "corner"), made during the last 6 months;
- completed and signed questionnaire;
- a passport with a validity of at least 6 months and at least one blank sheet (2 pages);
- a certificate from the place of employment indicating the position, monthly or annual income.
It is also desirable to provide copies of documents on property (for an apartment, car, dacha, etc.) - they must be submitted along with the translation into English. It is harmless to additionally collect any documents confirming the solvency of the tourist, including - an extract from the bank about the status of the account.
Children will need a copy of the birth certificate and a certificate from their place of study, students - a certificate from their place of study, pensioners - a copy of the pension certificate .At the same time, pensioners and students need a sponsorship letter and a certificate from the sponsor's place of work (with translation) .If the child goes without parents, a certificate from the work place of one of them with indication of the position, monthly (or annual) income and the date of registration for this position, as well as a power of attorney for departure from both parents .If the child leaves with one of the parents, a power of attorney is required to leave the second parent .
References from parents, birth and place of study must also be accompanied by a translation into English. On each sheet with the transfer must be indicated the date when the translation was made, the name and surname of the translator, his contact information and signature, the confirmation that the translation corresponds to the original. Additional requirements for filing documents in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg
Since March 18, 2013 when applying for a visa in St. Petersburg, the applicant must additionally provide the following documents:
