Before the adoption of the new Customs Code of Ukraine on June 1, 2012, there were serious restrictions on the import of food: as much as necessary for food on the road. The amendments changed the situation: now the products can be imported for personal use without binding to food on the road. So per 1 person in Ukraine you can import next number of products:

- in the packaging of the manufacturer intended for retail trade - no more than 2 kg of each item;

- unpacked - no more than 2 kg of each item;

- without packaging, indivisible and ready for use - no more than one unit of each item.

The standard of import of products from the calculation of their cost increased from 50 to 200 EUR per person.
