Which city is considered the capital of Andorra?
Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
The capital of the tiny European state of Andorra (Andorra) is its largest city of Andorra la Vella (Andorra la Vella). In Russian transcription, you can sometimes find other variants of the pronunciation of the name: Andorra la Vella and the Spanish manner of Andorra la Vieja.
This city, comfortably settled in the Pyrenees mountains, where the river Valira is split into two sleeves, was the center of the principality since the XIII century. Then, in 1278, a decision was made on the sovereignty of the state from Spain and France, and Andorra la Vella became its de facto capital.
