Which dishes of Austrian cuisine are the most delicious?

In my opinion, apple strudel with nuts and raisins - mmm! Very tasty, especially with a cup of pure Austrian Melange coffee! :-)

"Viennese cuisine" is perhaps the only one named after the city, not the country. In this kitchen, the traditions of all the peoples of the former empire of Empire were united from Bohemia to the Balkans. The most delicious dish is difficult to call, I will call the most famous dish:

  • tafelspitz (boiled with seasonings of beef rump) with apple horseradish,
  • Viennese schnitzel with potato salad;
  • goulash;
  • tsvibelstrobraten (roast beef with onions);
  • vanillerostraten (roast beef with garlic),
  • schweinbraten (pork baked with a large piece with a knead and sauerkraut),
  • Viennese sausages;
  • kaisershmarrn (sweet omelette with plum jam),
  • germknedl (lush sweet burger with jam stuffing, with poppy and vanilla sauce);
  • apple strudel;
  • thin pancakes-palachinken;
  • Sacher cake.
