We plan to fly to Thailand ourselves (from Novosibirsk). On the air-ticket website, I found such a return route: Samui - Bangkok - Beijing - Novosibirsk, stop in Beijing 23 hours 10 minutes.
Do we need a visa to leave the airport and take a walk in Beijing? If so, which one? How much will it cost?
Sincerely,
Sergey Vostretsov.
With this version of the route, you can take advantage of the 72-hour visa-free transit regime (TWOV) in Beijing, the rules and application of which have already been written on this site in the "Questions about China" section in the "Visa" section.
I remind you that in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, Russian citizens can stay without a visa for up to 72 hours provided:
1). availability of air tickets "international flight - Beijing / Shanghai / Guangzhou - international flight";
2). arrivals and departures to and from one Chinese airport (that is, you must fly from Thailand and fly to Russia from the international Beijing airport of Shoudou);
3). notification to airline employees when registering for a flight to Beijing about their intention to request a 72-hour visa-free transit in China;
4). 72-Hour Visa-Free Transit "(it will be necessary to present: a valid passport, a valid minimum of 6 months from the date of the end of the trip, in which there are blank pages for an entry stamp, electronic tickets for international flights before / from Beijing (itinerary receipts / e-tickets must be in English !!!), it is also advisable to attach a boarding pass for the next international flight (if available) and a voucher for the boarding pass from the previous voyage.)
In this case, you can easily leave the airport and see the sights of the Chinese capital.
