From September 30, 2012 for citizens of the Russian Federation there is no requirement for an entry visa to visit the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China if the period of stay does not exceed 30 days .According to the "Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China on Mutual Abolition of Visa Requirements", concluded in .Macau 19 .06 .2012, the visa-free regime does not apply to persons who have "intentions to work, study or reside in the territory of the Macao SAR SAR" .
Citizens of Portugal, as well as owners of travel documents issued by Portuguese consular institutions to non-residents of the country, can stay in Macao without a visa for up to 90 days.
