The Yasava archipelago consists of 16 small islands stretching in a chain to the north of the islands of Mamanuka. Yasawa is very popular with newlyweds: beautiful wedding rituals are arranged here, but there are not very many hotels. And most importantly - the islands are almost untouched by civilization, and the ichthyofauna is able to surprise the most experienced diver. It was here that the film "The Blue Lagoon" was filmed and Yasawa can be seen on numerous brochures about Fiji.

How to get

Get to the Yasava archipelago, or rather the Taveva Islands, from Nadi, on Turtle's daily seaplanes Airways, in flight 35 minutes and about 300 USD one way. Cost, of course, causing, but opening on the road views, as well as the opportunity to ride on the legendary little vintage airplanes Cessnas or de Havilland Beaver, believe me, it is worth it.

Yasawa can be seen on numerous brochures about Fiji.

However, most of the tourists come to Yasawa on the "yellow boat" Yasawa Flyer, which belongs to the company Awesome Adventures Fiji. A comfortable 25-meter catamaran has toilets, air conditioning and a snack bar on board. Departure every day at 9:15 from the port of Denarau to Viti Levu; on the way to Kuat 1 hour 45 minutes (75 USD), two hours to Vaiya, three hours to Naviti (80 USD) and 4, 5 hours to Taveva (95 USD).

Hotels

Each hotel in Yasava can be deservedly called luxurious, fashionable and, of course, expensive. The most-among them is the Yasawa Island Resort & Spa - an exclusive resort with 18 bungalows with a first-class spa and a classy panoramic restaurant. On the heels of it comes the resort Turtle Island Resort, each of which has 14 villas with its own beach, a terrace and more jacuzzi.

Nanya-Lailai boasts a tiny resort hotel Nanuya Island Resort for just 4 villas and 8 cottages. You can try to stay at the Mantaray Island Resort or Octopus Resort on the island of Vayya.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Yasava

One of the most popular excursions is a trip to the island of Sava-i-Lau, amazing limestone caves with underground lakes. Among Fijians, there is still a belief that this is a refuge for the gods, including the all-powerful ten-headed Uluitini.

It is worthwhile to visit the island of Navit in the village of Soso, where you can get to know the life and way of the local population, and also look into the A small church where, among other things, elegant handicrafts made of wood are inserted. Sights of a natural nature include the 170-meter peak of Kuat Island, covered with virgin forests, where bright exotic birds live. And on the island of Vayya tourists are offered a premium entertainment - to swim with reef sharks (those who want, oddly enough, are).

Yasava

Active rest

But, of course, the main "fan" on the island is connected not with sights, but with water. First, diving. Researchers of the sea depths come to Yasava from all over the world, knowing that here you can see a lot of species of corals, sharks and dolphins of all stripes. To comprehend the skill of diving or simply to take the equipment for rent it is possible within the walls of club Dive Yasawa Lagoon. Another dive center - Yasawa Dive - offers a fantastic safari with a dip in the 20 most beautiful places of the island of Nanya- Lailai.

Secondly, fish! Fishermen, be careful: never miss the island of Taveva and the company Fly Fish Fiji, which promises to arrange an unforgettable fishing for barracuda, mackerel, horse mackerel or coral trout. Catch of 50 kg in Fiji - spit once. Photo of Yasawa (5)
