Since October 13, 2010, residents of Adygea, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachaevo-Cherkessia, North Ossetia and Chechnya have the right to visa-free entry to the territory of Georgia for up to 3 months. Other Russian citizens need a visa to enter Georgia.

A short-term one-time visa can be issued at the entrance to Georgia at Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi airports, at the Daryali border checkpoint, at the Sadakhlo border crossings on the Georgian-Armenian border, and at the Krasny Most bridge on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border (visas are not drawn up at the border crossings of "Ninotsminda" with Armenia and "Belokany" with Azeybaydzhan). The entry of foreigners into Georgia through South Ossetia and Abkhazia is prohibited.

Citizens of Russia do not need a visa to visit Georgia, if the period of stay in the country does not exceed 90 days. At the same time, the validity of the passport must be at least three months after the end of the trip.
