Visa, permission
To visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a special permit is required, which is issued upon arrival at Port Blair, at the immigration office at the Haddo Jetty berth .However, when traveling to the islands by sea, it is necessary to issue this permission in advance, on the mainland (Foreigners' Registration Office in Chennai - tel .: 044-28278210, in Kolkata - tel .: 033-22473300), or when registering a standard Indian visa .The permit is usually issued for up to 30 days; travelers who do not have return tickets or invitations from the hotel can get a "permit" for only 15 days .
In addition, the permit can be extended in Port Blair, but only for a maximum of 15 days.
Permission is usually checked by hotels, island administrations, ferries and on departure, so you should not lose it.
If you have permission, you can visit the following islands: Southern Andaman, Middle Andaman, Little Andaman (not including indigenous territories), Neil, Havelock, Long Andaman, Diglipur, Baratang, islands within the National Park. Mahatma Gandhi (except Boat-Hobday, Twin, Tarmugli, Malai and Pluto, the night in the marine park is possible only after notification to the administration) and the island of North Passej.

How to get
By air
The capital of the Port-Blair islands accepts flights from Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. Tickets should be booked in advance, because in the season their cost increases significantly, besides, there is a chance to stay at all without them. Soon, it is planned to open international flights (in particular, from Bangkok).
Indian Airlines flies every day from Chennai (en route 2 hours 5 minutes) and Calcutta (en route 2 hours). In addition, JetLite airlines fly from Chennai and Delhi (via Kolkata, on the road about 4 hours) and Kingfisher Red from Chennai (one of the most budgetary companies).
On the water
From Calcutta, Chennai and Visakhapatnamy (Andhra Pradesh) to Andaman there are regular ships, the road on which takes several days, and is an adventure in itself. Beaches of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands
