In India, recently celebrated their New Year - the festival of lights and the victory of good over evil - Diwali. This is the main Hindu holiday, the scale of the celebration is comparable to our New Year.
Streets, houses, any premises are decorated with oil lamps, lanterns, garlands, candles, fireworks and firecrackers on the streets. People give each other gifts, go to bones with traditional Indian sweets. The colorful bright consecration of the premises is designed to attract the goddess of wealth and prosperity - Lakshmi.
Diwali usually falls at the end of October - early November.
For each individual territory of India, the festival of lights has its own characteristics.
