The main and undoubted advantage of Bali is its stunning beaches, seasoned with unusually picturesque nature, ancient culture and, importantly, excellent weather throughout the year. No wonder they say that God lives in the Himalayas, but he prefers to spend his vacation in Bali.
So it's not surprising that most of the local entertainment is connected with water. If you are tuned to a fairly extreme rest, the end point of your journey should be Kuta. It is here that every night there will be noisy clubs and bars, and every day - the ideal conditions for surfing. Even if you do not yet know how to handle the board, you will be taught this here, and soft sand and the absence of reefs near the shore will be protected from scratches and scratches after the first unsuccessful attempt.
If the idea of conquering the elements does not attract you too much, you can go scuba diving in Menjangan, located in a sparsely populated nature reserve. There you will just need to hire a boatman ready to take you to one of the many reefs - and a bright underwater world full of bizarre corals and amazing fish will open in front of you. However, almost any part of the coast of Bali is suitable for diving.
Well, of course, the more traditional beach vacation here is also good. You can just relax on the sand near the sea, interrupting your peace only by visiting cozy fish restaurants, standing right on the beach, and contemplating an unusually beautiful sunset.
And when you get bored of swimming, you can remember about the rich Indonesian culture. The local leader in the concentration of attractions is Ubud, which is home to the famous Monkey Forest, inhabited, as its name implies, by a huge number of monkeys, the village of Petulu, in which you can see the nightly mass migration of herons, and Gaia is one of the island's most amazing sacred sites .
