When did you enter EUR in Italy? Can I still exchange lira for the euro?

Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
The Italian lira was circulated in Italy, San Marino and the Vatican before the introduction of EUR in 2002. For 10 years, the Bank of Italy provides an opportunity to exchange lira for EUR, that is, before the end of 2011 you have such an opportunity.

Now in the country the official monetary unit is Euro (1 EUR equals 100 euro cents). The rate for October 18, 2013 to the ruble is 43, 5 rubles for 1 EUR.
