How to get to Ehternach

It is worth visiting the abbey around the ancient basilica of St. Willybroir, built on the site of that most ancient monastery. The history of this abbey is quite interesting: it was founded in the 7th century by the monk Willibrore, who was later ranked as a saint (the remains of the saint are kept here). At one time, this basilica was a major Christian center, here were produced decorative copies of the Bible, inlaid with precious stones.
