The authorities of Malaysia have decided to allow entry to the country to foreign tourists only if there is a return ticket.
Deputy Interior Minister of Malaysia Van Junaidi explained this decision by the government's desire to reduce the number of illegal migrants. Currently, there are about 2.5 million illegal immigrants on the territory of Malaysia.
The new provision became one of the points of the new project of the Department of Immigration of Malaysia, according to which, no illegal migrant should remain in the country until 2020.
