Which city is considered the capital of Malta?

Responds
Valletta, the capital of Malta, is located on the north-east coast of the island, on a rocky peninsula between the natural bays of Marsamxett and Grand Harbor. Part of the streets of Valletta rises on the slopes of Mount Skiberas. Streets of Valletta go down to the center and rise along the edges of the city. Valletta is surrounded by majestic fortress walls, from which a superb view of the city and the surrounding area. Impressive is not only their height, but also the width: the main road around the city is laid along these fortress walls. There are almost no modern buildings here. Almost every house is a tourist attraction, which may be several centuries old (some, however, restored after the bombing of the Second World War). The abundance of museums adjoins a lively trade: no house, no shop or cafe.
