Maputo was once a very beautiful city, but the capital was affected by 20 years of war. Now it is rather a resort for exotic lovers, as the city is rather poor and only begins to restore its former charm, but here are magnificent sandy beaches, coral reefs, a friendly atmosphere and good weather all year round.

How to get

Direct flights from Russia do not fly here. It is most convenient to fly through Frankfurt or Doha to Johannesburg, from where you can get directly to Maputo.

In any small cafe simple dishes and juices are served. It is better to stay away from roadside stalls, especially if they cook meat there. In such stalls you can buy cashews (they are usually fried without salt and served in small paper bundles), fried beans, Bhajia cakes, fruit and soft ice cream. On the island of Inhaka there is a Museum of Marine Biology, and even there you can see magnificent coral reefs. Be sure to take a look at the magnificent waterfall in Namaacha. And in the Maputo Reserve you can see flamingos and whole herds of elephants.
