At the beginning of the 18th century, the Church of the Assumption of Boroditsa was laid on this place, under which an alms-house was formed, which later was recognized as a female monastic community. Now the building and territory of the monastery, where the hospital of the Ural military district was stationed during the Soviet era, was again transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ekaterinburg diocese.
The estate of AA Zheleznova (address: Rosa Luxemburg street, 56) is a red brick building built in 1895 in the style of a la Rüss, a variation of modernity on the theme of Old Russian architecture, unique in the Ekaterinburg architectural environment. The house is adjoined by a neglected garden with the remains of a marble fountain. Before the revolution, the house belonged to Zheleznov, a wealthy entrepreneur.
