From the history of the museum
In fact, the museum has its history since the 1920s ., already at that time was carried out work to collect the museum collection, but for the public it was never opened .Only in 1938 ±$$ ., after the nationwide glorification of Pushkin's name, the museum opened its doors for visitors .He did not work long, the Great Patriotic War began, the museum was closed, and all its exhibits were urgently evacuated .At the end of the war, the museum's collection was not in demand: for several years the mansion was used as a state residence .In 1969, ±$$.the former country house Richelieu is awarded the status of a monument of national significance .And only in February 1987, .Crimean Regional Executive Committee adopted a resolution on the re-creation of the museum A .С .Pushkin .
Today the exposition is located in six rooms and tells about the Crimean voyage of the poet and poetic works written later under the inspiration from the Crimean impressions. In the halls are exhibited his lifetime editions, objects of the aristocratic and Crimean way of life of the Pushkin times. In 2007, the memorial room of Pushkin scholar BV Tomashevsky, one of the enthusiasts of the Gurzuf museum, was also organized.

How to get there: the museum is located on the territory of the sanatorium "Pushkino". From the bus station "Resort" in Simferopol can be reached by bus or trolleybus number 52 to the stop "Pgt. Gurzuf ", then on a fixed-route taxi to the sanatorium.
