Required documents
- The passport valid for three months after the end of the trip. There must be at least two blank pages in it. You can also provide old canceled international passports (if any) or photocopies of them;
- photocopy of the page with personal data of the passport and previous Schengen visas;
- 1 color photo 3, 5x4, 5 cm, not older than 6 months, on a light background, without corners and ovals, which must be attached with a clip to the questionnaire;
- Application form, a form which can be obtained at the Visa Center. When submitting documents to the consulate you need a questionnaire filled out online in Russian; upon completing the application form, it is necessary to print and sign personally;
- confirmation of the hotel reservation: either originals certified with a seal or a copy with the attached original receipt for payment are accepted;
- air, bus or train tickets, or ticket reservation confirmation;
- the original and a copy of the travel insurance policy with a cover of 30 thousand EUR;
- a certificate from the place of employment on the company letterhead of the enterprise, with a stamp, the place of work, the position, the amount of salary and a note that leave for the duration of the trip with the preservation of the workplace. The address and telephone number of the company should be indicated in the certificate. If the consular officer is given information on this phone that does not correspond to the information specified in the certificate, visa denial is more than probable;
- financial guarantees: as a document, a photocopy of a savings bank, a photocopy of a "credit card" with an extract from the bank or a sponsorship order written on hand by a separate sheet are most often used: "I, FIO, sponsor the trip ... indicate a related or other relation to the tourist and the tourist's full name ... to Schengen countries, including ... (indicate the country of travel) from ... to ... "with the number and signature of the sponsor, as well as confirmation of the sponsor's income.
A sponsorship order will be required for non-working pensioners, students, housewives. Plus, pensioners need a copy of the pension certificate, and for students - a copy of the student's card and a certificate from the dean's office (sometimes something is enough), for school children - a certificate from the school.
A short-term one-time visa is issued for up to 30 days (depending on the period indicated in the invitation or in the booking confirmation of the hotel).

A trip with children
Children under the age of 18 must be provided with a birth certificate (original or notarized copy .If a child under 18 travels with one of the parents, accompanied by a third person or independently, you need a notarized parental permission (power of attorney) with the transfer of authority to the second parent, third person or independent departure .The names of the parents indicated in the consent must correspond to the birth certificate .In case of discrepancy, originals or copies (depending on the country of travel) of all documents on the change of surname .
If it is impossible to provide consent from one of the parents, a copy of either the death certificate or a single mother's book or a certificate from the police about the inability to locate the father (mother) or a copy of the court decision on the deprivation of parental rights must be provided.
Consular fee
Consular fee - 35 EUR. When applying to the Visa Center, an additional fee of 12 EUR is charged (payment in rubles at the internal rate of Pony Express). The visa processing deadline is 10 days, urgent - 3 days (in this case the consular fee is increased up to 70 EUR). From the child under 6 years old, inscribed in the parent's passport, the consular fee is not charged. Citizens of the CIS countries must provide an identical package of documents.
Border crossing
When crossing the border of the Slovak Republic, foreign nationals are required to present at the request of customs and border services: a passport with a valid visa; a health insurance policy valid in the Schengen territory (the amount of coverage is not less than 30 thousand EUR) and confirmation of the availability of sufficient funds for a trip at a rate of 50 EUR per person per day.
