Bovec is the most high-altitude resort in Slovenia and the only resort in the country where the trails are at an altitude of more than 2000 meters. The resort itself is located in the west of Triglav national park, at an altitude of 480 meters above sea level, at the junction of the borders of Slovenia, Italy and Austria, 136 km from Ljubljana and 160 km from Brnik International Airport. The ski season here continues from early December until the end of April. The resort is famous for its nature, it regularly hosts competitions for skating outside the slopes.

Slopes of Bovec
The ski slopes are equipped on the slopes of Mount Kanin. To the place of skiing is provided by a cable car. The distance from the hotel to the cable car is from 1 to 2, 5 km (regular bus service operates). There are more than 60 km of cross-country ski runs.
For beginners alpine skiers and children, the "Ravelnik" trail, which is located 800 meters from the center of Bovec, is ideal. It is served by a cable car.
Also for those who have just got on skis - the ski track "Chessocha" in 3 km from Bovec. Here, not one track exceeds 300 m, and the height difference is only 100 m. There is a special bus, where the cost of travel is included in the cost of the subscription to the lift.
