History and culture
Maribor Pohorje is located in one of the historical regions of Lower Styria, once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but inhabited for the most part by Slovenes .This region separated from the Austrians only in the 20th century, after the end of the First World War, but after gaining independence, the local residents were not free for long: during the Second World War the region became part of Germany .Maribor, which is the largest city close to the resort, is considered the regional and cultural center of Lower Styria .
How to get here
In the city of Maribor, which most likely will have to get to the resort, there is a small airport (Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport), serving domestic flights and several international and considered the second largest. The resort is divided into three parts: the lower ("Snow Steadyam"), the middle ("Bolfenk") and the upper ("Arech"), located at different heights and connected by a system of lifts.
