What are the opening hours of shops in Turkey? The
Answered by Information department of the "Thinness of Tourism"
There is no unified timetable for the work of shops in Turkey, but the general trends can be traced. Supermarkets and small shops usually open from 9.00 to 9.30 and work until 20.00 or 21.00. At resorts, the closing time often shifts by an hour or two later, there are plenty of 24-hour shops. Dinners almost everywhere remained in the past, the disappearing number of such establishments is closed for half an hour-hour in the period from 12.00 to 14.00.
Large shopping centers begin work at 10.00-11.00 and finish it at 22.00-23.00. The day off is usually Monday, in small shops can be Sunday and (or) Monday. In this, Turkey differs from many other Muslim countries, where Friday is considered a day of rest. There is one more difference: in the holy month of the fast of Ramadan, the hours of work of shops do not change.
