The UAE is the safest Arab country. And this is not even because the police work well here, but because the Emirates are a country with a high standard of living, a stable political and economic situation. Here you can safely walk at night, even in the darkest alleys, aggression is more likely to be feared by holidaymakers than local residents.
It is important to observe local traditions and norms - not to behave defiantly, to adhere to modesty in clothes, behavior and not to offend the feelings of believers. Quite strict in the Emirates with regard to drinking alcohol: you can not drink on beaches, on the street, in other public places, except for bars, restaurants, hotels.
The engagement ring on the finger of even a lonely walking girl protects her from harassment of local men, as the family institution in the UAE is very revered.
On the streets of large cities, and especially in tourist and shopping areas, there is always a lot of police in the UAE who are fluent in English.
