Most of the city buses depart from Donegall Sq. There are local trains in Belfast, which depart every half hour, connecting the streets of Great Victoria and Central Stations, following the City Hospital and Botanic Stations. Taxi, as in most cities of South Kay, there are two types: "black cabs" and mini-cabs. The second is much cheaper, but they can only be ordered by phone.
There are routes for cyclists along the city: perhaps the most spectacular of them, at number 9, passes through the center of Belfast, following the western bank of the Lagan River and the northern shore of the Belfast Gulf.
Shopping and shopping
The market of George's Market on May Street near the central railway station is the largest indoor market in Northern Ireland, which is also considered a local landmark. There you can buy clothes, food and all kinds of crafts. Farmers put their goods, as a rule, on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm, and on Fridays you can find almost everything that the soul desires. At the same time, the hours of work on this day simply amaze the endurance of the sellers: from 6am to 1am.
The Smithfield market at Winetavern Street, near the Castle Court shopping center, attracts shoppers with a bunch of pretty boutiques, shops and outlets with clothes and shoes for every taste.

Telling about Belfast's pubs is an empty lesson, they need to visit .The unique atmosphere of the explosive mixture of the Irish with the conservatism of the English make these drinking establishments perhaps the most authentic throughout the Kingdom..A special mention deserves the Golden Mile (The Golden Mile) .This area starts from the Europa Hotel or the Great Victoria Street train station, takes you slightly to the left of Dublin Road, grabs a lot of fun pubs near Bradbury Place and ends at the serene student quarters near Botanic Avenue and University Road .However, it should be borne in mind that this Golden Mile is not the safest area in the city, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings .
Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Belfast
The main attraction of the city (perhaps not in beauty, but in its history for sure) is the City Hall on Donegall Sq Square $ $ .The sight of this Town Hall, opened in 1906, will be something familiar to the inhabitants of the sunny country of South Africa, as almost like two drops of water is similar to the building where the government meets in Durban .A vivid example of the colonization and planting of English culture and traditions of the great Empire..Every day at the Town Hall are free guided tours, telling about the victims of the Titanic and showing the monument to Queen Victoria..
St. Anne's Cathedral in Donegall St is located opposite the Royal Avenue, the main shopping mall of the city. The architecture of the cathedral is truly amazing, as is the abundance of cozy cafes, miniature galleries and pretty shops around.
- Drink a pint Guinness in each of the pubs "Green Mile" and put a tick in the list of own records!
- Flood the "sacred land" of the great Belfast golfer Rory McIlroy, Darren Clark and Graham McDowell, and if you have the appropriate skills to play parteyka, because Belfast is a paradise for golf lovers.
- To see with my own eyes, where the history of the famous "Titanic" was born, visiting the dock, in which this liner was built and launched. To the heap you can look in the museum "Titanic Belfast" and even more imbued with its sad fate.
Belfast is also famous for the museum of Ulster and the building of the municipality. Interesting and central area of Donegall, surrounded by impressive monuments of the Victorian era. There is also the Lienen Hall library, which houses the main treasures of Irish literature.
The building of the Great Opera is also a landmark of Belfast. It was bombed several times, but it was beautifully restored. The history and culture of the city are presented in the Ulster Museum near the university. In the suburbs of Belfast there is a zoo, the Cave Hill Country Park, Belfast Castle (formally it dates back to the 12th century, but the current building was built in 1870) and Stormont, the former parliament of the region, and now the seat of the Minister of Northern Ireland. The
Another attraction of Belfast, a city that, by the way, is also famous for the fact that the notorious "Titanic" was built in it - the sculptural composition "The Searcher", erected for the centenary of the "discoverer" of the magic Narnia K. Lewis.
Belfast Mural Tour
Belfast Mural Tour, or a tour of the unique urban graffiti of Belfast - definitely worth the time spent on it .Original frescos inherited the city from two militant parties - Republicans and liberals (Catholics and Protestants) who fought for power in Northern Ireland: one for joining the UK, the second for independence..Than all ended we know (Northern Ireland does not belong to the Republic of Ireland), but to get filled with the mood and take "your side" even mentally - it is possible to this day .If you start a walk with The Falls Road or Shankill, the best views of the houses, whose walls are still "agit-nature" .
