The Principality of Andorra is located in the Pyrenees mountains and has no access to the sea. But in the cold, the mountain slopes attract ski and snowboard fans to themselves. A lot of fans of these winter sports go to the ski resorts of the country. The most popular of them can rightly be called Grandvalira (Grandvalira) and Vallnord (Vallnord). These are not the names of individual cities, but of large ski areas, united by common lifts and ski passes.

Vallnord includes ski resorts Pal (Pal), Arinsal (Arinsal), Ordino (Ordino) and tiny Arkalis (Arcalis). The Grandvalira region includes the cities of El Tarter, Soldeu, Pas de la Casa near the border with France, and the village of Grau Roig. Also good for skiing resorts of Canillo, Encamp and La Massana.
