Penny knickknacks and expensive works of art can be purchased at the famous Vernisazh market, which every weekend unfolds on the Republic Square, in the center of Yerevan. For Armenian carpets "for home, for the family" go to the Mergeryan factory, and more outstanding specimens should be found in the "Tufenkian Carpets" store in Tumanyan Street. Here you can add to your carpet your initials or favorite saying, as well as weave a soft masterpiece entirely according to your sketch. Old carpets can be purchased in the antique shops of the city.

When buying a new carpet, be sure to save the shop receipt and the label of the product - this will serve as confirmation that it was manufactured recently and does not represent historical value. When purchasing antiques, it is necessary to take a certificate permitting the removal of carpet from the country.

Do not forget to take with you a couple of bottles of fragrant Armenian cognac, in abundance sold in supermarkets of the city and enotecks.
